Starting from Shady Harbor Marina in New Baltimore, NY, our plan is to go North via the Champlain Canal route to the St Lawrence up and around the Gaspe peninsula following the Atlantic coast to New York City. November 2nd, we arrived back at Summit North Marina. What to say that it was just a wonderful trip and if you are considering it, go ahead. Give yourselves a lot of time so you can enjoy your stops along the way, and avoid the bad weather occasionally. It was a 2,645 nm journey, departing on June 17th and arriving on November 2nd. We had some first: rafting with another boat, and traveling overnight. Our crossing the gulf of Maine took us 18 hours, the longest trip we had ever undertaken, and we learned to use our Windy app for route planning. Mostly, it is not only the place you discover, or the beautiful vista you admire, but the friendly people you meet who make this experience so worth it. Who knows if we will ever travel this long, this far; it is something to remember for ever.
