We expected rough cruising today and we got it. 12kt head wind wasn't to bad until two hours into it when gust and current into Baie des Chaleurs rendered the water more random. Bigger waves were causing a few things to fall around us. Closer to Miscou we finally had more predictable waves. We even got into the quiet channel by error. Happily it wasn't far from the entrance channel to Shippagan. The weather was by then much quieter and even sunny. Time to get the sun glasses out.

We anchored in St Simon river protected from most winds. Shortly after settling, large clouds gathered and we had a short but strong thunderstorm. Followed by a beautiful rainbow. After this agitated day we were looking forward to a quiet night at anchor. Update Saturday morning very good night, the only wave sounds on the hull were tide related.
