Harvey was still feeling tired but we decided to leave as the boating conditions were excellent. The forecast however for Thursday through the weekend was terrible: strong winds, rain, and up to 7ft waves.

We fueled at Sunset Marina and left after 9am. We had a very easy ride to Portsmouth: sunny, spaced out lobster pots and calm waters. The Fall colors were just beautiful. We entered the Piscataqua river near slack time around 3:30pm. Happily we had 3 people helping at Piscataqua Marina, since the slip is very tight and even at slack time the current was still noticable. We lucked out getting this protected slip, we have electricity and water! We haven't had it since Rockland, Me.

I went shopping for some nice produce, bread and raviolis. Harvey needs to isolate on the boat for another four days.

Oct 13th. Harvey completed the connector for the motor side while I went shopping for more cold médecine and additional groceries. The motor and engine are operational, so we can use our dinghy again without rowing (meaning Harvey's rowing). Many marinas are closing by the end of the month or earlier, so mooring balls is going to be sometimes the only option.

Laundry time this pm, and rest. The night might be rocky with strong gale wind and rain all day tomorrow. Still unsure about leaving Saturday or Sunday? The wind dies down by then but the waves are in the 5 to 4 ft range. Not sure we want to be rocked so hard. We will see also how Harvey is feeling.

We decided to stay through Sunday the 16th as Nadine was also Covid positive on Thursday. Both of us are okay, sick with flue like symptoms, coughing and aches are mostly the effects.

Both Saturday and Sunday which were both sunny days, we were able to go out for a walk in the parks without being close to anyone. Dave the marina manager went to Walgreen on Sunday morning so we could ressuply with cough medecine and herbal drops. We plan on leaving early tomorrow around 7am to catch slack tide outside of the "crazy" river as people call it around here.
