Sunday, June 25th.

After a nice kayak excursion along the Island Beach in the morning, we realized that the site was really getting crowded and a bit noisy, so we opted to navigate further North and anchor at Silver Bay. The idea was that this area was a protected county park, it should be calmer. Well, we were wrong, very wrong. The place was jam packed with boaters, many with boats beached on the West side of the bay. In addition, there were the MEGA abnoxious flags galore with loud people playing loud music..not our scene. We took the kayak for a spin, and hopped on the trail. Upon our return to the boat, the place was still looking busy so we moved a bit out of the bay to get some peace. We had a splash and a grilled diner. The thunderstorm was threatening, but we excaped it. The other boaters all left around 7h and the place was all ours.

The bay remained quiet Sunday night, but the forecast is for strong winds mid-day Monday to Tuesday.

Monday, June 26th.

Took the kayak to the shore of the park and walked to the point. The place was buGGy, and despite the insect repellent we got a few bites:( We took a dip in the water before lunch. And we are spending the afternoon resting on the boat, as the wind is picking up as expected.
