Saturday, June 24th. Left the marina at Tall Oaks on Forked RIver this morning. Forecast being better we decided to try anchoring off Island Beach at Tices Shoal. We took the dinghy to nearby landing. From there there is a wooden bridge that leads you to the other side of the island where we stralled on the beach, and stopped for a picnic lunch. We were delighted to be able to do this as the weather this past week had just been awful. We returned to our boat, soaked our feet off the swim platform. Now we are seeing a storm rolling North-West of us and we are hoping that the radar is indeed accurate and can expect to have escaped it.

Sunday, June 25th

Great calm morning at our anchorage, clear and sunny.

We decided to stay a bit longer here even knowing that the rain is possible in the afternoon, we want to take advantage of this place a little longer. We will head later today to Silver Bay, to anchor there overnight and stay on Monday.
