July 31st

Five plus hours to reach the island in very good weather conditions. Headed into the channel to the inner harbor but run aground, shucks!!

A couple of people helped, one dived and noticed that our starboard prop was in the mud. I suggested a little push from that side and happily that was enough to get back in the channel. Harvey turned around and we anchored outside near mooring balls. After lunch and seeing how close we were from mooring field we gave another try to the channel. Inside the harbor was packed with moored boats, we were not too optimistic until the harbor master who was in his small boat told us to take a ball marked private. So we did that with a new design for us, Harvey manoeuvred us quite well so I was able to loop the rope through an eye kind of stick end. I did by error pull the line over the railing but with Harvey's help we corrected that. We are now secured in mooring, which is nice since more wind is in the forecast for this afternoon and evening. After all these emotions, we are taking it easy.
