September 12th

Arrived just before the rain at our mooring in Battleship cove. Tricky getting the lines through the mooring loop. Happily the harbor master was around and helped us. We staid on the boat due to rainy weather, and took to looking around for moorings for Friday and Saturday as hurricane Lee is moving north and this could mean strong winds even this far up river. We ended up splurging with a dock at Providence marina for two nights. The added benefit is be with our friends Katya and Glenn on Saturday.

Thursday morning nice sunny day and so calm, hard to believe that this may change soon. We visited the maritime museum and the Destroyer Kennedy and the battleship USS Massachusetts. After lunch, we headed to a protected and quiet anchor on Kickmuit River.
