September 15th through 17th

Arrived at Providence marina on Friday with the concerns of hurricane Lee in mind.

Our birth was well protected and being the hurricane barrier, so even more secure. The only drawback of the place was the noisy music played the 2 nights we were there until 2 am. Very loud, and the restaurant could turn it down in our opinion.

Friday afternoon we met up with Katya and walked in her favorite parts of town, saw the fleur de lys studio, visited the art club. Very neat city with a lot of well preserved 19th century homes.

We stopped at the wine store and Glenn to a fish store. We had wonderful fish sashimi platter prepared by Glenn and combined with noris, rice and salad we had a great dinner on the flybridge

Saturday morning, Harvey and I went to Trader Joe 5 mn away and walked to RISD art museum. What a great art museum well worth the almost 3hrs we spent there. The rain and wind was not so pleasant outside so a good time to enjoy this gem. Around 4pm we met with Glenn and Katya, the weather was nice again and pretty calm. Lee had passed the coast without causing any hardship in Providence. We walked in the Fox point and India point area park and streets. We drove together to Glenn and Katya's place and had a wonderful meal of fish, vegetables and salad, topped with a red wine from Philadelphia that Anton, their son, had purchased for them to open for a special occasion. We were the special occasion! We finished with strawberry and macarons.

Sunday morning with went for walk together and had a pizza at their pizza place, the pies were great and the unique pinball tournament at this location made the experience amusing.

We left Providence by 2pm and are now heading to Bristol.
